An official of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) identified as Abass Olalekan has reportedly been arrested in Ogun State following the death of a corps member, Victoria Ariyo.

According to reports, the corps member allegedly died from complications linked to an abortion, sparking outrage and raising concerns over the circumstances surrounding her death. Authorities are said to have taken the NYSC Local Government Inspector (LGI) into custody as investigations continue.

The development comes barely a month after another corps member, Adeleye Mary, reportedly died under mysterious circumstances in the same local government area, further deepening concerns about the safety and welfare of corps members in the region.
