Students and youths in parts of northern Nigeria were recently spotted marching in protest while denigrating the flags of the United States and Israel in demonstrations expressing solidarity with Iran.

The protest reportedly took place in several northern cities including Kano and Kaduna, where participants carried Iranian flags, portraits of Iranian leaders and placards condemning the United States and Israel. Many protesters chanted slogans against both countries while marching through major streets and public spaces

In some of the demonstrations, protesters placed large replicas of the American and Israeli flags on the ground and marched over them as a symbolic gesture of protest. The rallies were described as a show of support for Iran amid escalating tensions in the Middle East following military actions involving the United States and Israel.

The protests are believed to have been organized or influenced by members and supporters of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN), a Shiite group known for staging demonstrations in support of Iran and its leadership. Participants waved Iranian flags and carried placards expressing solidarity with Tehran while condemning Western involvement in the Middle East.
